I understand the Ripper never gave you the option of selecting the neck PUP alone, and I think that would be a more useful choice than the 4th position out of phase option. (Between 5.2 - 5.9k, which I'm told is about standard for these basses). This came off an early 1960's Gibson EB-0 bass guitar but this part is also found on Gibson Thunderbird basses and the EB-0, EB-3 models along with the Epiphone Embassy and Newport models.
